National Model Railroad Association, Australasian Region (NMRA AR) is a group of members, advancing the global model railroading community through advocacy, standards, education and social interaction. Yarra Valley Model Railway Club meets every Friday from 8.30pm for running nights in the old goods shed, opposite the Lilydale railway station. The club has a large HO layout depicting the 1960s Bacchus Marsh to Ballarat line in Victoria and other layouts including N scale. While many members model the late VR period through to current, members and guests are encouraged to bring any rollingstock. The current set up is analogue, although conversion to digital and/or radio control is a current topic of conversation. An extensive library is available.
